Current Situation I was using Luxrender before. I really liked the microdisplacement feature of Luxrender which made it easy to apply displacement to objects. When using Blender and Yafaray I have to apply 2 times the subsurf modifier with 4 divisions to a wall (as an example) to get an appropriate result. This consumes a lot of memory and takes some time to prepare the scene for yafaray render pass.
Expected Feature Have a feature in Yafaray to do appropriate displacement. Apply a displacement map. Control displacement subdivisions. Control displacement height/depth.
