I'm the actual maintainer for yafaray and yafaray-exporter in Debian.

Is it possible for the Development Team to provide the source tree of stable releases as a tarball file instead of zip-compressed file?

That's because it would make my work in importing/packaging the source a lot easier.

Usually, we use this format: <package>-x.y.z.tar.gz (e.g., yafaray-0.1.2.tar.gz).
