YafRay 0.0.9 examples compilation - Wings3D & Blender

Post Tue Oct 17, 2006 8:57 pm

I've uploaded a compilation of blender & yafray scenes in a free hosting server. I think it is an interesting resource for people trying to learn yafray (both to learn from other's settings and to try your own experiments).

- 34 Blender & YafRay scenes (with previews):

thank you Samo... I'm starting on a short serie of articles about Yafray in the french Linux Magazine and these ressources will be handy for examples, both of code and pics... (if the license of the files let me do it, of course, I'll have to check unless you can answer right away)

Hi Olivier,

In many files you'll find comments about licensing in a Blender text window, or in a separate text file. Many of them have not an explicit license, and many others only allow "learning purposes". The Porsche 550 is licensed under Creative Common 2.5 I think.

In the compilation there are examples made by Jandro to be included in the Yafray docs, I suppose that there isn't any restriction to use them in your articles (the dummy scene for instance).

Anyway, if you find an example you'd like to include in your articles, and that file hadn't an explicit license, I would be pleased to help you to find the person who made that work.

You may find interesting this thread too, it is a compilation of good yafray works. Just yesterday I actualised the list:

Now, renders of every scene are included, so that you can choose what scene to open.

Hi, thanks guys, I've forgotten to include this scene, in which the spherelight+emit ball technique is used. 2,5 minutes in the last version, YafRay can be sometimes very fast. In case you are interested, link below:

The link isn't working properly indeed. I have been looking for a while and I have found nothing in my hard disk too. That's bad. That compilation was externally hosted, so maybe we have lost it forever unless some user of this forum still keeps it and can provide us a copy.
