Only 64bits?

Post Wed Mar 04, 2015 5:56 pm

Today I saw the new versions of YafaRay for blender 2.72, but were developed only for 64bit. No more versions designed for 32bit?

The only solution for now is that you use this build
http://graphicall.org/107

you can find Blender 2.67 here:

Please, try this build for Blender 2.73 and Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (32 bit versions):

Excuse me for the delay in responding, YafaRay was installed in the blender 2.73a, but does not work as it should. He simply ignores any type of texture applied, including his own.

Please try the 32bit build from the latest v0.1.99-beta3 and let us know if it works for you. See here:

http://www.yafaray.org/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5094&start=0

This build is tested with Blender 2.74 which is better than 2.73a.

I hope it works for you.

Unfortunately I could not unzip the file, it alleges that the file is in unknown format or damaged ...

That's strange, I could download and extract it without problems.

https://github.com/DavidBluecame/Blender-Exporter/releases/download/v0.1.99-beta3/YafaRay.v0.1.99-beta3.2015-05-02.-.experimental.build.for.Blender.2.74.5.for.Linux.32bit.SSE2.zip

In any case I have seen some antivirus like Avast are blocking some files, perhaps that's the problem you are experiencing. I believe it's a false positive because AVG in my PC does not detect anything. Just in case I uploded it to two online virus scanning pages and most virus engines say it's ok:

And what should I do? I've tried disable avast, put the file in the ignore list and solved nothing. My system is windows 7 32bits.

Sorry, in my link above I referred to the Linux 32bit version, not the Windows 32bit version.

Please try this Windows 32bit version:
https://github.com/DavidBluecame/Blender-Exporter/releases/download/v0.1.99-beta3/YafaRay.v0.1.99-beta3.2015-05-02.-.experimental.build.for.Blender.2.74.5.WinXP-SP3.Win7.Win8.1.32bit.zip

I just checked now and I can unzip it without problems. So, if you have any issues you will have to add an exception to Avast.

I'm working to see how can I avoid that Avast false positive. I have found the point in the code that triggers it, so hopefully I will be able to generate a new build that does not trigger it over the next couple weeks.
