Older Yaf(a)ray versions

Post Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:59 pm

Dear People
Is there a way I can download older versions of yafray? I am trying to go through some tutorials written for Blender 2.34. Thats why I am asking.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Dear condar
No I did not! I am regular lurker in all forums related to blender and I am aware of the scam by 3dmagix. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole!

I have a copy of the old YafRay 0.0.9 on my Wings3d site. I only have the windows version. I don't think it comes with Blender scripts.

Frankly, I simply wouldn't even think about reading tutorials for a software from 6 or 7 years ago. There really seems to be no need to use such ancient versions when up to 2.49 the interface has not changed that much but the whole software became much better (and its accompanying 3rd party exporters ;)).

I use yafray .9 sometimes for irradiance caching. There is no comparison speed wise for quick visualization as long as you don't mind a few artifacts.
