Now finally it has a job done but I cannot download or see the picture.

When I click on the link to the picturefile I get a "not found 404 error", why ?

@Alain there was an error with your job, I sent you an email. I had to kill it because prone was segfaulting in it. I check what is wrong and I tell you !

Sorry and thanks for testing the corefarm !

Hi again Alain !

Ouch, I had problem with the server, too many people submitting jobs .. Corefarm rely on a single small server, it's time to scale up!

Regarding your job (job_1091), I even can't render it using yafaray : the volume integrator is missing ! Can you correct this and resubmit ?

@Yaf team : why the python script does not check things like that ?

All the best,

William

To those who built their own prone from sources : there is a bug in the SConscript file, resulting in a bad installation. (a plugin is missing). Thus the rendered images have textures issues.

Please update your prone using the latest tarball, available at www.corefarm.org/wiki/participate !

Thank you in advance !

PS: for those who upgrade from prone 0.0.x to prone 0.0.10 using the sources, please email me when it's done, because I locked the accounts manually .. sorry for the inconvenience!

@william

I'm pretty new to yafaray, so I have no idea what the "volume integrater" is.

The File I uploaded is the Benchmark testfile from this thread: http://www.yafaray.org/community/forum/ ... =13&t=1536

Maybe I have some free time later on to test it with my own testfile.

Btw: prone still crashes always after some time of running (running windows version 0.0.9)

Kind regards
Alain

First sucess :-)

The testscene took ab 16 mins on my local machine (Intel Core 2 CPU, 2.4 Ghz, 3.12 GB RAM) and only 6 mins. on the Corefarm :-)

Kind regards

Willian,

How the number of threads set in YafaRay UI conflicts with the Core farm,
I mean if I set 1 thread in the scene, every node in the farm will be rendering that scene with one thread, or the tasks dispatcher is able to change that setting according to the node getting the task?

Hi Samo,

The task dispatcher overrides the threads number value according to each node settings!

Hi Samo!

Thank you for this output ! Finally, the problem seems to be an installation problem, as prone seems to be lacking all the plugins. Are you using prone from the latest installer ? (0.0.9 )

can you check that there are plugins in c:\program files\corefarm\plugins ?

did you installed corefarm as "administrator user"? there must be a registry key The mips factory\Corefarm\InstallDir near the key Yafray Team\yafray\InstallDir. Can you check that ?

Thank you in advance !

All the best,

William
