YafaRay 0.1.1 stable released.

Post Wed Jul 22, 2009 10:57 pm

YafaRay 0.1.1 has been released.
It fixes all the bugs found in RC3, except from Win mapping reflections, which has been partially fixed already, expect it in the coming releases.
The Windows compilations should be 25-30% faster than RC3 due to a new compiler version.
Use the bug tracker from now on for any bug you might encounter.
Happy rendering.

There is some preliminary code finished for both features. I don't know when they will be finished though.

Nice to see how fast Yafaray is developed, i've been using this raytracer since 0.1.0.287 version and it's nice to see whole progress over Yafaray, it's faster after every release and have more features. Thanks a lot for this wonderfull raytracer guys, good work, and keep it up ;). This is the best raytracer i've been ever using. Thanks again :)

I'm glad yafaray is having regular releases, keeps everyones spirits up.

Someone should update the change log on the website, (I know its kind of a low priority thing.) I wouldn't mind doing it if I got access to change it.

I'd say it's more in the line of being Yet Another F'ing Awesome Raytracer. Best tag-line since Renderbitch

Fantastic! Thanks a lot Yafaray team! :D

Samo, there seems to be a bug in the windows installer, in the step where it asks for the path to the "scripts" folder, if you set it there (directly to the scripts folder) it says the path is not valid so you have to set it to the folder ".blender" (as in earlier versions), then the installation process continues normally, but when you check the folders you'll see that "yafaray_ui.py" has been copied in ".blender" and not in "scripts" so you have to move it by hand to get yafaray's UI working properly. Can you guys check on this? ;)

NP ;) I hope it's really an issue that can be fixed and not something I'm doing wrong in the installation process ;)

Samo, could you also check what I posted about MacOsX in the blenderartists' announcement? here:
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthr ... ost1435936

It would be cool if you guys also added the right downloads for Blender and Python in Mac since compatibility is a bit more capricious on this OS.

regards, and thanks
