Amazing renders! I especially like the interiors.

Would you be willing to share the materials for those translucent orange tiles on the walls?

In regard to the V-ray/Yafaray comparison, I agree, the speed is superior in V-ray because of the light cache and irradiance map. I had to recently switch to this engine because of speed and reliability requirements in our production pipeline.

However, with that being said, the ease-of-use and design of the material/shader editor in Yaf(a)ray's export script far exceeds the abilities of the V-ray for Blender script. Granted, Andrey's script hasn't been in development for long and V-ray's native shader system differs, I still find it extremely difficult to use. It's very difficult, IMHO, to dial in glossiness, mirror reflection strength and translucency. Yafaray has always been very intuitive in this respect.

Because of this, I will continue to look forward to new developments from the Yaf(a)ray team. :)

What? V-ray for Blender? :D :D :D :D I thought the project was dead...

Gab; how do you mix ambient occlusion and photon mapping? =/

And i could notice an unacceptable noise on the yafaray version of the Yafaray/V-ray comparison.

Thanks for the patience, and sorry my english.

gabich: I'm working on a Compositing tutorial with Yafaray, and the first part is for AO + Photon Mapping.
It would be great if cou can review it when it's done (today I hope) to add advices or pictures. Thank you.

Your work is really fantastic... but 30h to render the quoted scene? Man! This is very slow! And look at the wall corner, not sharp at all. I think even an unbiased renderer should perform better, because the light is very big (i think). And the image still have some noise, look between the bottom of the sofa and the armchair (on the wall) and on the left of the bottle.
Your work is fantastic anyway :).
