Wooden Room _ Interior rendering

Post Sun Jan 08, 2012 6:05 pm

Hi !
Here's my last tutorial for the French magazine" InteriorsCreation", about Blender 2.59 & Yafa 0.1.2. That's my first real project with the new Yafa012, I use to work with the old 2.49b+0.1.1, but I very like the new features ( particles, instances, rough glass,...).

Critics & comments are welcome

Wishing the best for Yafa, its team, and everybody else for this new year !

Rio

Very, very, very, very... very good render! :D
The ineterior/exterior ligth balance is perfect.
Did you use a background on a plane outside?
How did you balanced the lbrighteness? On post pro or using emit on that plane?
Thanks in advance, and once again a must say you made a great render.

NIce one....Everything is about textures and soft light...but texturing needs strong nerves...

Hi,
I have written in the same mag (blender + luxrender  ) and I have read your tutorial. Congratulations, your image is amazing  and your tutorial very interesting.
I love your work :D

Il faut maintenant espérer, au prix du magazine (très beau soit dit en passant), qu'il soit lu

Very very nice!
The texture on the inside of the windowframe looks a littlebit stretched...
I love the lighting!

Hi !
Thank you very much everybody ! I'm a little bit surprized, because that was my first attempt with the blender 2.59a & Yafa0.1.2 and I was afraid to make it bad. This changes a bit the way I work, so I was not pretty sure  So one more time, thanks !

Arquitecto>
I didn't use a background on a plane outside. I imported several lowpoly 3d trees, I put them like in real life, ouside. I used a Sun with Sunsky1, an Area lamp with a plane as " BG Portal light".
I used the composite nodes with some render passes to make the light brightness balance.

Hé hé, mais c'est le vertex dans le polygon !!
Thanks, your tutorial about Lux rocks  ! I hope you'll be in the next mag, it's a big lucky for us and for the promotion of Blender-Yafa ( and free graphic software). Et t'inquiète, il est lu

Hi !
I just wondered what texture you used for the walls ? I have a wooden house myself and I modeled it some months ago (before it was built !) but I could not have something very realistic for the walls. Is it just a fixed texture, or something dynamically rendered ?
By the way, if I can find the answer in the magazine, I would be happy to buy it. Is it available in common libraries ? I live in France..
Thanks, and congrats for your work !

Hi Rio:

I think the heater is somewhat flat. Maybe I should shed greater light on the inside, the fire has heat + light.

Congratulations.

What means "partially" ?

Does it support Object-Distribution by a Particlesystem ?
Does it support linked Meshes (Alt-d) ?

Kind regards

Afaik it supports cloned meshes but not particles system. Besides I am not sure how it is supported in the XML specs.
