Minimal Landscape Architecture

Post Sat Jul 12, 2014 10:14 pm

Hi,
I started playing around with some plants.
Let's see if I can finish a small minimalist landscape architecture design.
Here are some tests...

some quick and noisy deph map...
but unfortunatly the leaf alpha does not appear correct... :(

It really seems that out of phocus is the way to go :)
but look at the leaf... the deph map is wrong... :(

I am really sad that the yafaray deph map doesn't work very well.
Alpha on each leaf does not appear on the deph map.
That means I have to go with the dof...wich is so much slower.

Does anyone suggests another path?

It would be the same for any depth map. They work on geometry only.

You could try using a mist pass from blender, as it does respect material transparency.

Didn't know about that...

The mist pass can be a nice option, since I have a slow machine.

Big thanks Stoneage
