I guess it's because of my PC. It's quite old and weak.

Also, I now use an outside scene and it gets faster (only the Oversampling is slow as before :mrgreen: )

With awesome texturing and a skydome texture I found on Google. (If you search one, Google is worth a try! :D ). Unluckily, the exhaust stream is a bit too large :wink: .

How did you create the light on the back?

The complete node setup.

I used a blue emission material to make it a real light. Then i blurred the object index channel of the flames and used a colorband to create the blue color on the flame's edges. Then I added the "flame"-channel to the yafaray render an applied a glare modifier with a threshold of .9 to th whole render result.

you change ideas often! There's at least 3 or 4 different concepts here :mrgreen: The last one is looking good, but the texturing is lacking variation. You should try to map the bump and spec channels. Tiny scratches on the metal, little bumps on the dark material to make it look more like plastic or hard rubber.

Actually, the grainyness on the gray material is mostly the bumpmap. i hadn't had enough time for tweaking. :(
