Hi all,
I'm trying to build the source with CMake and Visual Studio C++ 2008 but at the moment I'm stuck to the following compile errors:
Code: Select all
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(451) : error C2057: expected constant expression
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(451) : error C2466: cannot allocate an array of constant size 0
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(451) : error C2133: 'nodes' : unknown size
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(452) : error C2057: expected constant expression
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(452) : error C2466: cannot allocate an array of constant size 0
2>..\..\..\yafaray_glaskows\src\yafraycore\irradianceCache.cc(452) : error C2133: 'sibling' : unknown size

This is the full build log:

Can someone help me to finish the build?

Cheers,

Hi all,
I finally built it with MinGW 32 bit but I have no idea how to use it and test it.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/w7jeh1
I'm using a test scene (in the attached build) with the following command:
Code: Select all
yafaray-xml.exe -t 2 -dp -f png yafarayRender4.xml

I changed under integrator type from directlighting to directIC but I have no idea where to put the other options and what is needed. Actually with just directIC it crash at the end.

Any ideas?

We will hopefully soon begin on an experimental branch to incorporate the GSoC projects. I suppose we will at the same time add Blender exporter options so that they can be used and tested from within Blender.

Developers are focused now on finishing a release candidate of YafaRay 012.

Is the Irradiance Cache code fully functional, only needing merging? Or is it still work in progress after Yafaray is stable?

I believe GSOC projects are to be considered for integrating with 0.1.3. There is still no 0.1.2 stable release so it may be some time in the future.

Hi all,
I merged Photon Mapping Irradiance Cache source code with latest yafaray code. I was able to build and test it under Ubuntu 11.10 64bit and here my result:
Photon Mapping => 14m 51s (about 100MB memory):
pm.jpg

Photon Mapping Irradiance Cache (Accuracy=1, Max Samples=10) => 17m 18s (about 3GB memory)
pmic.jpg

I'd like to change a bit Blender 2.6 exporter to add the 2 new parameters and be able to test it properly.

Cheers,
Gabriele
