Any help about Noise control panel?

Post Sat Jun 15, 2019 12:51 am

Hi. Can anyone explain me with example scene about Noise control parametres? Especially, for what options like:
- BG resampling;
- color noise detection;
- each sample multiplier factor;
- resamled floor (%)???;
- variance window;
- variance treshold;
- darkness areas:linear;
- dark factor.
I need to understand with example scene.
Thanks.

hi I am interested in those as well, but no testing has been done so far. If you test please share your results

As I understand right that AA multiplier factor value which is under Color noise detection checkbox will change dramatically the quality of the image, exactly it will inceease AA samples in next pass whith a few samples.

Best settings for high quality image is in my opinion:
- AA sample multiplier (AASM) is 4.0;
- variance window noise threshold is 1.
This optimized settings between speed and quality I think.

Yes, the thing is that a given antialiasing set produces diminishing returns in adaptive sampling since the remaining noise needs stronger sampling than the one removed so far, so AA multiplier increases sampling strength in each subsequent pass, but I use a soft 1.2 / 1.4 multiplier

Thanks for the explanation, I read some tutorials but they weren't too clear on that issue and now I got it. The thing is that I've got to modelise some of my company's projects for this property for sale in Paphos... and as you can see, it isn't really what a complete beginner is able to do! Unfortunately, the boss heard about the fact I was dabbling with 3D modeling and gave me this task... So, I have to learn how do that QUICKLY.

Sorry, but I don't understand what are you want to learn quickly?
