Color in Textured mesh

Post Mon Feb 06, 2012 4:15 am

Hi all,

I am new to yafaray..

is it possible to apply my own color over a texture(a wallpaper jpg) mapped mesh?

(for ex, if a texture has stripes design, i need that stripes to be visible whatever the material color i applied)

Thanks

It is possible by using a stencil map. Instead of using two textures, as in the documentation example, you just use the stencil map & texture map (in this order, top-bottom). Where the stencil is white it will show the texture, where is black it will show the color (or viceversa, I forgot :) )
