Objects disappearing in Blender 2.79?? DAG zero... not allow

Post Wed Sep 20, 2017 4:40 am

Hello,

This is a very important information about a problem I had recently where all objects in the Blender file disappeared when doing some tests in Blender 2.79. I'm not sure yet where the problem is, but you could lose all your work, be careful and take regular backups of your files.

It has been in previous 2.77 and 2.78 versions too. Not always, but sometimes it has been disappeared all objects and then I pressed Ctrl+Z imeditialy.
Still don't understand why.

Hello,

Thank you for the info, that's good to know.

As the Blender-YafaRay interface is really complex, I'm considering taking a totally different approach for the Blender Exporter in v4... I have to think about it...

Hi David

I think that I have come across this bug in the past, but I don't remember being related to YafaRay, I think is a Blender thing.

I have seen this happen using V-Ray for Blender; a special build released by Chaos Group. I don't think it is specific to only Yafaray. If it doesn't happen when rendering with Cycles, maybe it is related to exporting to an external renderer.

CTRL+Z brought all the objects back again :)
