This year a code sprint is going to take place in Madrid on 22-25 November, for developers of the YafaRay engine. The main purpose is to motivate and support this new generation of coders who are doing a great work on YafaRay and the exporters, and at the same time to keep 'old' developers on the loop. The event is also open to developers who want to get started with YafaRay for the first time. We will use the project funds to cover for attender's travel and accomodation expenses.

The event will take place in Madrid on 22-25 November 2012
. Attenders can choose how many days they want to attend. By October 16
we should have a clear idea about who is going to attend so we can start booking tickets and rooms.FUNDS AND EXPENSES
So far we have collected about 850$ for the sprint and we will use as well our reserve funds (7.300 $) to cover for the event expenses. YafaRay funds will cover:
- Travel full expenses (including airport connections)
- Hotel or Hostel with breakfast included.
- Trips in Madrid city when we get around as a group.
- 27 Saturday night "brotherhood" meal in a restaurant. WHO IS INVITED
The event is open to any developer, he/she does not need to show previous contributions to the project, only sufficient skills and good vibes. However, it is not a holidays trip. Every attender should work, during the scheduled time for coding, on a planed list of tasks. These tasks should preferably be active bugs from the bugtracker or improvements on existing tools. Developers should have their own list arranged and coordinated with the Sprint Master before the event. People are also welcome to give brief lectures to the other developers, for instance about YafaRay architecture or new developments. These lectures will happen early in the morning before the coding sessions start and should not last longer than 1 hour. These lectures might be recorded if we get equipment to do so.SPRINT MASTER
Person with deep knowledge about YafaRay inner workings who will guide and organise the flow of work. Rodrigo Placencia Vázquez a.k.a Dartide is the sprint master of the YafaRay Code Sprint 2012.SCHEDULE
Usually we will start working early in the morning (9 A.M.) and continuously till 4 - 5 P.M. so we can have still time for sightseeing and relax in the evening. In the premises we will have take away food, sandwitches and beberage so we don't need to leave for dinner in the afternoon and everyone can have their break as he/she pleases.HOSTEL
We will book beds in a hostel in the very center of the city, near to main communication hubs so we can move quickly around. Hostels means shared room and toilet. High amounts of patience, common sense and good vibrations are required. We will announce the hostel early in September.CODING SESSIONS PREMISES
On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 the coding sessions will take place in RJC University
in Móstoles. Commuting time is about 45 min. from the center of the city. On Saturday 24 the coding session will take place in an informal way in the Matadero Arts Center
Every evening there will be time allocated for sightseeing and on 24 Sunday we will have a taste of Madrid famous night life. The city offers uncountable leisure options and a very intense cultural program.HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE
