I've tried to open a new thread for more responding from the members and stack on bug improvemenets or etc.

I think we need to change anything from the core and other stuff for more stable and modernizing the engine itself?! Any responses, new developers would be awesome here.

Hi there !
Really happy to see some news from Yafaray and a first version for Blender 2.8 :)
I tried a bit the last version for 2.79 but one important bug, Photon Mapping ( the most method I use) don't work, other else are OK ( except Bidirectionnal).
I'm still OK to help by testing and I'm making a simple scene to compare Yafaray to other renderer ( Cycles, Corona, Luxrender).

Hello @Rio! Yeah, i've problem the same with Bidir. But i'm not tested yet PM. I like Pathtracing moreover. I just hope someone refactoring reflectance model something to Ashikhmin-Shirley or to GGX for more realistic looking result. I'm happy to as you for helping to the developera by a tester.

Hi

The most important news is that David is working on YafaRay again. He is going to reorganise the YafaRay code in the coming weeks and we are getting valuable feedback from the sweethome3d community for YafaRay improvements. I think that GGX is almost finished and other changes are on the way.

Today I tried Yafaray, but just Pathtracing works fine. But I can't use not more than 18mln photons for Caustics. GGX is really implemented? Really?

I didn't expect this to work at all with Wings3D. At first it was not working but after I copied all the .dll files from the lib folder to the bin folder I am able to render with version 3.4.1 in Wings3D. On the few files I have tested I get good results on most of them.

Is this new version a separate release from the work that had been started on V4 listed in the following thread?

By the way, you can see the Blender-Exporter releases in
https://github.com/YafaRay/Blender-Exporter/releases
maybe, that 3.4.4 works for you

Thanks for pointing out the 3.4.4 build. That one works out of the box. Also some of my files that were not rendering with the same quality of 3.3.0 are now rendering with the same quality that I expected from YafaRay. :)
