Missing Parts: Making Of

Post Sun Jul 22, 2012 7:55 pm

Part of the rules for the Winter Contest this year was to write a Making Of. In my case the pdf was finished in April 5 but I didn't upload it waiting for the iniciative of making a DVD with all the collected material from all the participants. Unfortunatelly that iniciative had no result but I stll have the files of my projects. So I decided to upload the Making Of now hoping that someone read it and enjoy it... It's not a tutorial but a short explanation of my workflow for both entries, still and animation categories, working only with Open Source Software

this is the thread of my entry to the contest

the PDF for the Making Of is under CC Attribution/ Non Commercial/ No Derivative license so if you use it don't forget to name the source in the process (Jeffrey Anderson a.k.a. condar) and of course Yafaray

If you like it, please let me know ;)

you can download the Making Of in PDF format from this link

Note: Unfortunattelly there is now way I can share all the project files because between both projects (still and animation) the folder ended up eating 38 Gb of disk space :P. Even after removing all the unnecesary sequences and intermediate renders, the blend files for rendering and compositiing and all the textures still need 2Gb of space
