Doesn't seem right != not allowed to do that. I rest my case. Povmaniac can clarify his meaning further if he feels that is necessary.

It does not matter whether it is not right for him or he does not allow to talk about his project in this community. The fact is he is not in such a position to control that the same way we can not control that someone makes a fork of YafaRay or the exporter. Free speech and free licenses have these outcomes.

Hi Guys,

I feel really embarrassed being the reason of this little discussion, not having verified the source of that link. So, I do understand everybody's concerns but may we start back from scratch and forget this little incident, please?

I will be much more careful in the future and more responsible for my actions. Thank you.

Good Life!

Hi, i just saw this thread, but i'm not clear on whether the version is released or not, if not i have an x64 build up and running on 2.72b and i can build the 32 bit version too.

Please clarify the issue so i know if i should be taking action or not.

Cheers mates!

We need a x64 build. I made one but it doesn't work on 2.72, only on 2.71 and I don't know why. So if you could provide us with a x64 build that works on 2.72b that would be great.

Hi Darktide

If you have an graphical.org account, upload them there and then I will post link to it on our download page. Or if you wish use our ftp space in Michele's servers if you have the keys, post links here and then I will update the download page.

Samo, the link to download the addon for Win x64 is this one:
http://yafaray.dsvs.mx/yafaray.zip

The domain belongs to me so you can post it on downloads safely, it won't disappear.

Please everyone that can, test it on 2.71 and 2.72b, it has all image formats enabled, i managed to solve my OpenExr problems.

DarkTide,

I did some tests with the following versions of Blender for Windows 64bit on my laptop (Win7 Pro 64bit w/SP1, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTS 360M, 1GB VRAM) with your build and these are the results:

Blender 2.71 Windows 64Bit, official stable release, ZIP version (Hash: 9337574)
At the addon's activation in the Blender Preferences the following error message popup is displayed and generated by blender.exe: "Impossible to run the program because jpeg.dll is missing. ...etc."; as soon as I click OK this error is displayed in the Windows console (I ran these tests with "blender.exe --debug" from the Windows command prompt): "ERROR: Failed to load library libtiff, OSError(22, 'Impossible to find the specified module', None, 126, None)".

Blender seems to work and I can open a Yafaray scene and render it apparently without errors (I haven't had the time to run all possible render cases).

Blender 2.72b Windows 64Bit, official stable release, ZIP version (Hash: 9e963ae)
At the addon's activation in the Blender Preferences the following errors are displayed in sequence:
- popup generated by Blender-app.exe: "Impossible to run ... libstdc++-6.dll ... etc.", click OK then this one is displayed in the console: "ERROR: ... libyafaraycore, OSError(22, 'Impossible ... etc.", None, 126, None)
- popup generated by Blender-app.exe: "Impossible to run ... libyafaraycore, ...", click OK and in the console: "ERROR: ... libyafarayplugin, OSError(22,'...omissis...', None, 126, None)".

I can open a Yafaray scene and start the rendering process but it stops and Blender crashes when Yafaray starts building the KD-Tree.

Blender 2.72.1 Windows 64Bit, b.b.o. ZIP version (Hash: 5e0e175, dated November 04, 2014)
At the addon's activation in the Preferences the following error message pops up: "Impossible to start the program ... jpeg.dll ...", click OK and this one is diplayed in the console: "ERROR: ... libtiff, OSError(22, ' ...', None, 126, None)".

This build as per the same error it shows, behave as the above mentioned 2.71, it runs and renders apparently without errors.

I hope the above results might be of help.

That looks like DarkTide has the needed libraries somewhere else than the package. It should be as easy to fix as moving some dlls to the package.

I hope it will be as easy as you say. All the above "apparently missing" stuff is available inside the \yafaray\bin directory. So, perhaps DarkTide will be able to find out how to fix it. Anybody else has tried to test this build? What are your results? FYI, my system's environment contains "PYTHONPATH=c:\python31; c:\python33; c:\python34", just in case.

Hmm, now I must ask, what are your security settings on the folders and is it possible that your virus protection denies your access to the files? I'll try the packages myself when I'm back home

Harvester, please remove any old versions of the addon before installing this one, this package doesn't depend on jpeg.dll nor libstdc++6.dll so i'm guessing you have mixed versions, ntl i'll check the package again in another box to ensure all the needed dependencies are there and are being correctly loaded

Cheers

I have tried Bender 2.71 x64 and Blender 2.72b x64 on Win8.1 ...

I get the error :- "Impossible to run the program because jpeg.dll is missing. ...etc." both times ...
