Had used this build of yafaray 0.1.2 for a ong time with good results.

Latest 0.1.5 build linux 64 build from graphicall (stoneage) gave me this black dots nightmare...

Is this from the build or from the yafaray core?

You aren't using the same rendering settings in these scenes, right?

Dots bounce with rays, so identifying the source sometimes is easy: in your image, on the area with the highest number of black dots (chair?) there is a material or a relief map producing them. I have sometimes problems with oren nayar so this could be one of the first things to look at.

Thanks.I tried to up load the scene but the textures were huge and I couldn't.

You are right. The problem is generated by the chair.

@all
The chair has some multi-user objects. If I delete them Yafaray 0.1.5 renders without dots. Also, If I press u > object and data and apply edge split and solidify modifiers yafaray 0.1.5 renders fine.

So my humble conclusion is that black dots do come from multi-user objects with modifiers. It's somehow confusing why it doesn't ocurred with 0.1.2 :roll:
