Build: Yaf(a)ray 204 & Blender 2.46 (Windows x86_32)

Patched Blender 2.46 (it's same as for revision 203):
Code: Select all
http://www.zshare.net/download/1707614673105085/

Yaf(a)ray 204:
Code: Select all
http://www.zshare.net/download/17073624222b9ee8/

Changes:
Several changes for proper bidirectional path tracing. imageFilm_t can now store density images so paths directly connected to the lense can be supported. Several minor changes to make first prototype work...

Python GUI requires Python 2.5:
Code: Select all
http://www.python.org/download/

 Woah, I've been on a so-called vacation recently, but that new version shouldn't go to waste - I'll get my hands on it as soon as I get some sleep... :P

Could anybody tell me what has been added or improved in this release? Or maybe point me the direction to a release log somewhere. So I can test (play) it accordingly.

Thank you in advance.
Cheers.

Bidirectional path tracing is in beta stages, so you can't choose it in Python GUI as lighting method.
You can view changelog with command (You'll need Subversion):
Code: Select all
svn log https://ssl.little-isp.de/svn/lynx/yafaray/mainline > changelog.txt

And then just open changelog.txt with text editor.

Xray, sorry to be a pain with what I'm about to ask, but last night I compiled blender 2.47+ yafaray 207 in linux with Greenthumb's "sevenblend" script (I don't know how to in Windows), and then I worked on some files in it. However, If I try to open these files in windows with yafa 206 I get python script errors when trying to load Yafaray's UI. Is it due to the different versions of the renderer, or simply different "yafaray_ui" scripts? Will replacing 206's with 207's script solve the issue?
If not, would it be too much asking if you could compile latest yafaray 207? ;)

regards,

Alvaro

ps. Just tried replacing the script and didn't work :( I guess a recompile against blender 2.47 is also required.
