Re: Automated build servers

Great idea!

I just tested the x64 addon with the official 2.63a build and a self-built 2.63 from trunk and I can't enable the addon.
Yafaray 0.12beta5 can be enabled without problem.

EDIT: Forget what I wrote. It's working now :)

I'm glad somebody found this useful (Thank you debris!)

I just want to explain what those strings at the end of the file name means.

When you download this builds you will see two strings at the end of the file name, for example:
YafaRay-Blender-WindowsXXbit-98f8e80_fbf4012.zip

you will always find those values because the first one identify yafaray core revision, this case:
98f8e80
the second one identify blender exporter revision, this case:
fbf4012

so, if you find another download saying:
YafaRay-Blender-WindowsXXbit-c2afbf0_fbf4012.zip you know it refers to a core update and not to exporter update.

Cheers.

I missed this earlier, this is good news.

Does the bug in swig 2.0.7 affect only Windows builds? I am compiling swig 2.0.7 on Ubuntu 12.04 without a patch and Yafaray builds successfully.

Hi stoneage,
some distributions apply the correction patch on their own and I can confirm Ubuntu swig 2.0.7 actually works because it's patched.
By the way, if swig is not patched it wont compile, so testing if your version is correct you just need to try compiling the code.

Cheers.

32bit version rename folder

Post Fri Oct 05, 2012 11:17 am

in the 32bit version posted above the folder needed to be renamed "yafaray" from "YafaRay" to get it to work.

Hello,

I've implemented in the new yafaray.org server an automated daily builds system. It's a bit rudimentary but it seems to be working.

This build system will generate new builds for Windows 32/64bit and Linux 32/64bit every time the master GitHub branch of Core or Blender Exporter are modified.

I'm still fine tuning it, but I think it's working. I've updated the "downloads" page so you have the link for it:

http://www.yafaray.org/download

I hope you like them!

Hi David, maybe we should open a new thread about it and make it stiky and let this float away, since the first message here has nothing to do with the new system you have implemented.
