How about a competition?

Post Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:23 pm

Hey, how about a competition in photorealistic interior visualisation?
Here is a scanned photograph from furniture catalogue; lets do this furniture in 3000x2000 resolution with the best quality each can do and post our competition to public (may be on renderosity.com)...

should each person model the scene on their own? or we all use the same model and base the comp solely on render technique?

well, this picture is reference so we will model all furniture and so on we can change the walls, couches, and other stuff but we should make it in such case like on reference picture

I would be more up for a rendering contest if I didn't have to model all the stuff myself and we all worked off the same geometry.

good luck to the participants

hmm.. i think you have to precise: is it a "lighting/rendering contest" (so we can focus on light) , "modeling contest" (so we have to concentrate on modeling furnitures) or material contest (which is actually connected to "lighting contest") ?? 8)

I would like to participate in lighting/rendering part :D

ps. please, dont' post images on rapidshare :( use imageshac, mediafire, yopost or any other site on which - i dont want to wait to see something. thanks.

Please share the scene if you want people to participate, you have proposed the contest. Many people might not feel like modelling the whole scene, but would like to render it.
